Explore Wonder Works in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Written by: Sarah Robinette

Hi friends! Have you been looking into going to Wonderworks in Pigeon Forge? I know when you have never been to an attraction before, you are just not sure it’s something your kids will like. Well, that is why I started this blog. My name is Sarah and I live locally in the Smoky Mountains and I love to go out with my kids to explore. We always pass the “Upside Down House” and the kids are always asking if we can go there.

First of all, this place is perfect for kids. I would recommend this place for kids 3 and over. There is plenty of things to do, see and explore. Expect to be here at least 2 hours but you can be there as long as you want. I would also recommend to wea closed toes shoes if you want to do the ropes course.

Once you get your ticket don’t forget to look up, and around! Everything is upside down! The tornado carried the building hundreds of miles away where it landed upside-down! After you notice you are in an “upside-down house”, you will walk through this crazy cool tunnel, they call it the inversion tunnel. Wonder Works have different wonder zones, glow in the dark ropes course, laser tag, and a 4D XD simulator ride.

Our 3-year-olds loved all of the wonder zones. The wonder zones were extreme weather zone, physical challenge zone, light and sound zone, space discovery zone, wonder art gallery, and imagination lab. Each wonder zone had some really cool things. My favorite was the one bubble lab! The bubble lab was in the physical challenge zone. The 3-year-olds LOVED that!

My 6 year old and I did the glow in the dark rope course. It is 50 feet tall! You climb 4 stories of ropes as you encounter over 50 different obstacles and activities. She loved the ropes course and could have kept going and going. She loves the thrills & if you do too, you would love this! You do have to be a 40″ to climb and not weigh over 300lbs to do the rope course as well as closed toe shoes.

There are lots of virtual games such as throwing a baseball to check your speed, video games, earthquake restaurant and the fun wind tunnel to experience a tornado. My kids loved creating live art and playing in the sand.

We also loved the 4D XD simulator ride. You can do all these fun rides as much as you want with your ticket.

When you go upstairs they do have a museum of fun art and a huge laser tag game that we all enjoyed playing. They also have a arcade that the kids can enjoy but you do have to purchase that separately.
